Salma Valgarma Hayek Jiménez was born on September 2, 1966 in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, México, her father Sami Hayek Dominguez is of lebanese origin and her mother of mexican origin Juana Jiménez Medina. She studied for actress in Los Angeles, California and obtained small papers in some not so popular movies. The first movie that made her big was driven to despair by Antonio Banderas and in 2002 she presented frida.
